Escola Verda

As we are working on Escola Verda, this week 4th graders are going to work on the 3R: Reduce,  recycle and reuse. An important issue is plastic, we use too much plastic. What happens with all the plastic we don't recycle? Can we reduce it or reuse it? National Geographic offers us a lot of short documentaries we can watch at home and think about it.

We've watched a nice animation about an unselfish caterpillar. It is very hungry, all he does all day is walk and eat and walk and eat. On every pair of feet, a pair of tiny shoes he wears! But one day, the shoes don't fit anymore! So he decides to find some friends to give the shoes.
