This week, 6th graders asked me to listen to a song, because they love it. So, this is an extra-song. We haven't worked on it, but I'm glad to see that they are aware that we can learn while having fun and enjoying.

A Stick insect's face

Stick insects....well, they are growing fast....in this picture you can see their face....they are not very nice ( if you look at them closer )....They have changed their skin, we will observe it using a magnifying glass and a lamp. Now, they are six cm. long.....

Babies are soooo cute!!!

In this picture you can see a baby snail, it isn't the smallest one, but one of them.  They are soo cute that I couldn't resist taking pictures of them. You can compare its size with a one euro cent coin. Sorry for the photo ( it's not as good as I wanted it to be...).

Little Eggs

So...Here we have the little eggs!! they are more or less a pea's size (smaller), white as pearls and round!! Now, let them in silence......

Snails project, watch them mating.

This morning, when I woke up, I saw my snails mating....here you have a video. 1st graders will watch it too, because it's part of our project. I've never seen it before, so I'm taking a lot of pictures and videos.

New projects

This week, 5th graders have started a new project in English, we are going to work on Stick Insects. At the moment, we just now a few things, but we will discover a lot of interesting facts about them. Here you have a picture of our stick insects.....it's a surprise for them! Tomorrow they will have them at class....

e- Twinning Project

Since last year we are working on a project called e-Twinning, it offers students the opportunity to practice and get in contact with real English. We found a school in Solihull , West Midlands, and we sent and received some letters last course. This course, we are going to continue with the project, 6th graders and 4th graders (new!!!). 5th and 6th graders start the day also singing! we love singing, we work on the writing, reading comprehension and oral comprehension while having fun. This is "Where did you go?" by Midnight Red, our song for 5th graders.


Learning through rhymes

This year, 5th graders are learning short rhymes by heart. Some of them are very traditional rhymes, or nursery rhymes. Nursery rhymes are a very usefull tool to learn structures, vocabulary and so on.  Here you have one:
